The Scene By Simon Rimmer
The Scene by Simon Rimmer is a top spot for hearty pub classics with a retro twist. With a slick and simple interior, the focus is on the food; the menu is an eclectic and thoughtful collection of classic favourites for the budding foodie. The pulled lamb with mint sauce is big on flavour, accompanied by cauli cheese, veg classics like broccoli and carrots, a crispy Yorkshire and the perfect fluffy potato. The Scene has a full view of the marina, live music and a top-tier weekday happy hour, what’s not to like?

The London Project
The London Project is a vibey spot for an ultimate British dinner overlooking the JBR skyline. Enjoy a vast plate of treble meat – lamb beef and chicken – accompanied by stuffing, roasties, a Yorkshire, and an abundance of gravy, washed down by a draught pint or a classic cocktail. If you’re looking for a big plate in a cool location, London Project is the one.

The Duck Hook
The Duck Hook is the perfect spot for a satisfying roast with a beautiful, calming view. Located on the Golf Course at Dubai Hills, the outdoor terrace overlooking the huge garden has a vibrant atmosphere filled with day drinkers and their dogs. The highlight at The Duck Hook is the Yorkshire pudding, perfectly crisped and the perfect accompaniment to flavourful meat, vegetables and veal pigs in blankets.

Marina Social
For award-winning European cuisine in Dubai Marina, look no further than the elegant Marina Social. With an 180 degree view of the marina from the terrace, great atmosphere and sophisticated interiors, Marina Social is an ideal spot for dinner and drinks with a view. The red cabbage is perfectly seasoned, and the gravy and Yorkshire pudding ties the whole thing together, and for fans of cauliflower cheese, Marina Social have absolutely nailed the crispy top and cheesy centre that all good cauli cheese must have.

Bread Street Kitchen Dubai
Gordon Ramsay’s second restaurant to make the cut is Bread Street Kitchen, promoting modern Biritsh Cuisine located at Atlantis The Palm. The Yorkshire pudding itself is worth the visit and sits atop piles of Sunday Roast goodness – roasties, perfectly cooked beef and thick gravy.

Phileas Fogg
Enjoy the perfect combo of a huge roast and live music at Phileas Fogg on a Sunday. The plates are huge, so settle in for a long afternoon of all your classic roast trimmings and choice of meat. The roast is served with a jug of gravy so drowning your plate is perfectly acceptable. Phileas Fogg also has a huge outdoor seating area, live music from 7pm on Sundays and a large screen showing the football. This is the spot to happily settle in for a big day of food, drink and entertainment.

Goose Island
Goose Island, Timeout’s pub of the year 2021, serves up so much food in their roast it comes in a pan. Opt for the roast sampler and enjoy lamb, beef and pork, accompanied by all the classics, roasties, brussel sprouts, cauliflower cheese and garden peas, as well as a substantial crispy Yorkshire and lashings of herby gravy. Goose Island is a lively, busy bar with big screens, pool tables and a golf simulator.

Coterie Social
Coterie Social is a beautiful space serving aesthetically pleasing dishes that are packed with flavour, using only the best ingredients. ‘The Roast with the Most’ is a giant plate stacked with beef and lamb, a giant Yorkshire pudding and all the traditional extras. Nestled above the Ibn Battuta Mall, Coterie Kitchen is a hidden gem serving incredible, flavourful dishes on a large outdoor terrace. They also have screens for sport if you’re looking for a more laidback spot to watch the football in front of a massive plate of food.

Carna by Dario Cecchini
Carna is a picturesque restaurant on the 74th floor of SLS Hotel with stunning views of the Dubai skyline. This steakhouse offers a regular roast with a few extras, including mushrooms and sprouts and a flavour packed veal belly pie as a side. Carna’s roast is substantial, so take your time and look out onto the breath-taking views this Sunday.
