What's On This Week

Dubai’s winter months are the ideal time for enjoying the food and drink on offer across the city, the weather is perfect for dining al fresco, and there are lots of exciting events to look forward to. We have put together a list of six of the top things to check out this November, all available to be discovered on the Playbook App.

Fanzone by McGettigan's

We couldn’t make a list of what to look forward to in November without mentioning the FIFA World Cup. Opening on the 20th November, Fanzone by McGettigan’s is your ultimate go-to destination to enjoy the matches. Located at Dubai Media City, Fanzone by McGettigan's is a huge one-stop football fan location with masses of seating, a huge stage and screen and multiple bars – enjoy pints and cocktails, street food, live entertainment, and all the matches in a lively atmosphere. Fanzone by McGettigan's is also offering nation supporter packages, premium deck picnic tables on an elevated platform with reserved seating and an undisturbed view of the huge screen, as well as hospitality packages. This is the prime spot to enjoy some world-class football.

Ula

Dubai’s winter months are absolutely perfect for al fresco dining, and Ula Dubai has the perfect excuse to get outside and enjoy a warm Dubai evening. Every Wednesday from 6pm-11pm, enjoy 3 glasses of sparking and a pizza for only AED175 per person. Choose from Margherita, grilled chicken, smoked duck, or mix seafood, all while sitting beachside overlooking the stunning Arabian Gulf sipping a cold prosecco. Perfect for a sunset meal, Ula is there to satisfy that pizza craving and provide the ultimate laid-back date night experience.

Flashback Speakeasy Bar and Lounge

For a change of pace, our next November recommendation is a combination of exceptional food and drink, cabaret vibes and a throwback setting that feels like a Gatsby film set. Flashback Speakeasy Bar and Lounge, located in Paramount Hotel is offering their Rock’N’Cabaret Ladies Night, every Wednesday from 6pm-11pm (with live music from 9pm – 12am).  A throwback to a 1920s prohibition bar with luxe, cosy seating and a vintage vibe, the Rock’N’Cabaret Ladies Night offers up 3 drinks for AED99 and 20% off food.

KOYO Dubai

KOYO is introducing their newest event this November – Red Room – dinner, drinks and a show guaranteed to be a night to remember.  Inspired by Japanese highlife dining, and from the team behind STK and Asia Asia, KOYO Dubai is an iconic spot for a memorable evening of exceptional Japansese food and a breath-taking live show. Framed by red neon lights and surrounded by huge blossoms falling from the ceiling, KOYO offers both ambience and the perfect Instagram spot. Every Tuesday, from 8pm, experience fine Japanese fare with a two-course set menu, accompanied by unlimited beverages, at only AED250 for ladies and AED300 for men. Pitched as an experience that will explore all 5 senses, Red Room KOYO is well worth the visit.

Argentina Grill, The Pointe

This November, explore incredible Argentinian flavours in a vibrant South American atmosphere at Argentina Grill, located on The Pointe, Palm Jumeirah. Priding themselves on authentic Argentinian flavours combining Spanish and Italian influences with South American flare, including all cooked on a traditional grill. Set in beautiful surroundings, with a modern elegant restaurant overlooking The Palm Fountains, Argentina Grill is open 4pm-1am weekdays, 2pm-1am weekends and has numerous events throughout November including Happy Hour, 50% off Cocktails and Live Music.

Black Flamingo

November also welcomes the arrival of Miami-inspired Black Flamingo on Palm West Beach. With retro interiors, Miami maximalism and a show-stopping Latin and Caribbean menu, Black Flamingo is an exciting new addition to the Dubai restaurant scene. With chef Reif Othman serving up a menu that matches the energetic energy of the bar and restaurant, and interior décor that will look fire on anyone’s Instagram, Black Flamingo will be a new favourite.

Check out the Playbook App this November to explore the very best F&B Dubai has to offer.
